the installation can be done by anyone capable of removing their plenum, that's why it states, "Remove Upper Plenum - If can not accomplish this, do not attempt to install the fuel rail yourself." The boss shaving is minor and again can be done by anyone with sand paper or better, even if your plenum is powder coated or chromed, the small areas affected are unseen after installation. The standard tuning practices being stated is just that, standard, same areas of adjustment like any other injector. K-value - (does differ from side feed - more than one might basically calculate, but easy to change) Latency - (again, does differ from side feed - very little if at all, but easy to change) TP tables - (calculates like any K-value adjustment) Typically once you find the happy K-value, you recalculate your TP tables. Also the K-value for larger injectors is not a direct percentage adjustment from stock. For instance, typical 740cc K-value used on side feed is 150-160 where it calcs out at 144. An 850cc K-value used is 130-140 where it calcs out at 125. The K-value calculation is an approximation and needs to be corrected per mechanical and electrical differences and the best place to verify a given K-value is on the dyno. The top feeds are a new type of injectors that will need dyno time and tuning history to come up with a "standard" tune, just the side feeds, more use creates more data to base the off the shelf tune from.

Best run: 1.60 60', 11.319 @ 120.65 mph - 118 octane fuel (on 100 octane tune), 22 degrees of timing, 21-22 psi boost, 11 psi tire pressure (street slicks). "..know your car better... RACE IT!.. AS OFTEN AS POSSIBLE.." "Drag racing is for fast cars... Autocross is for fast drivers... Drifting is for cheap tires..." I made up the last one.. |
